I have just tried some Autoglym Super Resin on a small section of the trim. Brings it up very very well. Not quite 100%, but I am pleased with the results.

I use SRP on my car followed by the Autoglym sealer.

Cheers guys, I've been looking for an answer to this for a while! Mines the same - what looks like water spots on the trim below the windows and just ingrained dirt on the one under the boot. And I just happen to have a bottle of Autoglym SRP languishing in the back of the cupboard! Happy days.

Just tried Autoglym SRP on mine and it made absolutely bugger all difference.

As it was explained to me a chemical cleaner is what is needed. Abrasive action is prob a bad idea so Id think twice about using any paint/metal polishes.
