The battery disconnect I linked to whilst being manual has a 5A fuse that ensures alarm still works & settings are kept - if the car is started without the wheel in place then the 5A fuse blows & car won't start hence I thought it may give some cheap peace of mind (I hope the alarm has a backup battery as surely disconnecting the battery doesn't stop the alarm sounding ?)

As a victim of having the keys stolen from my house to pinch my RS4 I would advise a good house alarm and always keeping the keys downstairs so if they do get in then they will find them easily and leave. The police told me that some robbers will go upstairs and look for the keys if they are not easy find downstairs. Leaving nothing in the car helps too and getting good insurance, you are then covered completley.

If your car is in a garage, and you pack your other car up against the door that may be enough... Though they may just pinch both sets of keys...
Lusting after and RS4.
