Help me decide what shade of Black wheels for my avant
Re: Help me decide what shade of Black wheels for my avant
Its so hard to decide! lol
I have to admit I take everyones point on gloss black and it being a bit too much..Im not too worry about the effect of the tyres on the looks as I dont drive the car too much and to be honest it is cleaned on a weekly basis so tyres will always be glossed...
I guess my issue with the matt look or titanium look is that they may look a little too much like just dirty wheels ....
It may come down to just going down to the refurbers and having a look at their selection of colours in the flesh...
All I can say is when I saw the Black avant with silver optics and black rims drive past me, it looked spot on...Even meaner from the front end and more aggresive overall without looking like its been "max powered"
Further opinions welcomed!

It is a tough choice, the real question is, do you want to stay OEM? Is so then Titan may be the way forward for you.
To help you decide, I have attache some pics of a Saloon specked with the Titanium Pack. Hopefully you can see it a bit better when against the Phantom black.

def fancy a change for a darker colour...Titan with a gloss finish may work....
Re: Help me decide what shade of Black wheels for my avant
It's all about about personal taste but I've never liked black wheels on any car, in fact I think they look <beep>, like a pimpmolbile, but as I say each to their own...
I actually have what's called "black chrome" finish on my RS4, although they're not black and they're not chrome

Indeed horses for courses, I personally think gloss alloys look a bit tacky regardless of what colour.

Anthracite might be worth a look - darker than titan but not the full black. Anyone got any pics??
Gone to the dark side

Dont laugh too hard guys, but i have both matt and satin
Clearly a prior owner refinished the kurb side wheels and they didnt quite get it right!
I prefer the Matt.

haha brilliant. I think the matt finish looks 100% better.

They are sold as Audi products, but are actually made in here in NZ by Best Bars. A heavy duty but removable unit.

Cracking pics there.
Here is a comparison between Titan and Silver, ok ok its a Daytona and Sprint saloon, but will give you a an idea in brightness. Cars are mine and Jasons (Scaghead).

I have to admit I dont like Titan on a black car as they just look like "dirty wheels"
Ideally would be after something with a gloss finish of somesort....Maybe ill go for a darker wheel with gloss effect such as anthracite. Seems half way in between
