Clocked 296 km/h on the Garmin GPS. According to my co-driver, who happens to be my missus it looked like the speedo was on 300+. My cars delimited, REVO Stage II, Milltek catback + test pipe.

Was about 200rpm off the limiter in 5th gear so still had all of 6th to go but ran out of runway
impressive
is your car delimited?
the road tests I've seen have the car limited ~161 mph
seen a few videos w/GPM unrestricted will top 180 mph, it has pretty good aero and gearing

pretty sure the limiter is only in 6th...so you may have got a few mph if you had more road

I've had mine pinned against the limiter for 5 sec or so, so ~160
Was de-limited & DMS Mapped so quicker than the average bear :biggrin2:

At a true 171 the speedo was just about hitting 180 & any more would have required 6th gear. At that speed the pace was increasing very slowly but i'd hazard a guess with a long enough piece of tarmac it would have cracked 190mph.

Same scenario in my DMS M5 saw a true 182 through the timing beam with nearly 190 on the speedo & the car was suggested to have a top speed of 202-205 de-limited which mine was & mine had a few extra ponies. Gonna be trying in my GT-R next month.

I think I had the only accurate speedo in an Audi.

My old B6 S4 showed 164 on the timing strip at Brunters and exactly the same on the speedo.

Last year on derestricted Autobahn on the way home I nudged 300kph at 7500rpm, so to take into account a potential 10% inaccuracy in the speedo I reckoned about 168-170mph on a standard Avant

My father had a delimited and tuned RS4 Avant until last year and my sister swears that she and my stepmother managed to get an indicated 290kph out of it on the autobahn, which if true would be quite eyepopping.

I never took it beyond about 240kph. Which is ample on an Italian autostrada these days, all things considered.
Former Audi owner. Thinking about getting another.

Remember German customers could chose to have there RS4's De-limited. Think the its SW0030 (could be wrong).

The S4 speedo was much more accurate than the RS4 speedo - it was with 2mph of my GPS speedo, unlike the RS4 which is about 3% high.

std tires, normal slip, 7500 rpm ~ honest 175, the speedo's are off 6% tops, so 9-10 mph in you case
you were flying low :D
