I've found a car that I'm very interested in, but have a few questions about it.
The one I'm looking at is pre-facelift so has the orange indicators. Is it possible to get rid of the orange and fit clear indicators? If so is it easy to do?
The ad states that it has the 'Chromeline Exterior' is this just advert-speak for the fact it's not got the black optics pack?
Would you buy a 1 owner 55k mile car over a 30k mile car with 3/4 owners?
Do they all have Bose? It doesn't state it in the ad.
Also, it has the DVD sat nav, so will it have the TV function or was that an option? Due to my work I spend a long time in the car, so having tv would be useful. Is it easy to retro-fit if it's not got it?
Thanks in advance
A couple of questions...

TV doesn't always come with nav it's extra. It is possible to retrofit I believe but you'd need the digital tuner.
Chromeline sounds like it hasn't got optics but standard finish.
You can buy the facelift indicators but expect to pay a lot. Some guys have de-tangoed there's, but it involves a heat gun or an oven to break the headlight seal, not easy.
I would buy the lowest miles I could every time. Owners is not a huge concern to me unless it's silly. But each to there own.
Bose is standard (I think!)
Good luck, what's the colour?

Re: A couple of questions...
Cheers for that.
Sprint Blue... It's tempting as it's got a Milly fitted (not sure which one yet, but hopefully a non res valved)
Surely an RS4 with 3/4 owners is generally going to have been ragged about more than a 1 owner car who had it as his pride and joy?
It's up at about 24k with milltek and fsh. Obviously I'll be negotiating, but it's just one of a few options.
Gutted about the indicators, is it just the bulb that's orange or the cluster itself? Ie could I fit those bulbs that look silver but flash orange?

The condition and history will tell you if the owners have taken care or not. You are never going to know how it was driven, but a 30k machine should feel like new. I imagine a well looked after 55k car will too, but if you stick another 10-15k on that then you start getting into bargepole territory. Then there's resale to consider as well. But saying that if it's in mint condition with loads of paperwork and everything you want on it at the right price then why not

The indicators have an orange cover over the bulb that needs to be removed.
