Brakes

Post by bentara » Sun Mar 06, 2011 8:02 pm

Hi,
Brakes on my 2007 avant (26k miles) are not that brilliant and have bit of vibration.
I was thinking of getting them skimmed considering the cost of new ones.
Any advice on this and what pads to use front and rear ?

Thanks.

You'll need to work out if it front or rear first. Rears can be skimmed on hub, fronts unless the skimmer in question is good should be done off the car as they are floating. Replacement pads, either Ferrodo DS2500 or EBC Yellowstuffs, both produce a lot less brake dust than OEM Pagid's and the latter have wear sensors in the fronts like OEM wheras the Ferrodo's do not.

If i did have to replace them where are the best deals to be had ?
