Squeak from back seats.

Post by Mahyar » Mon Feb 14, 2011 2:18 pm

Any one else have this problem. Taken it in and Audi people just cannot fix it. Its not a big issue but seriously annoying.

Might not be the same but I had an interior squeak from the back of my avant. Damn annoying but eventually located it to be the load cover. If you remove the load cover there is a "felt covered rubber spacer" on the load cover to stop it moving around and rubbing against the backs of the seats. Mine had become quite shiny and worn with time and so I stuck a felt pad over it and the squeak has not been heard since!

Might be worth checking

My rear seat squeaks if the seat back has not been really securely locked back in place, unlocking it and pushing it back firmly has always cured it for me.

muight sound dafte but if you give the back seats a good clean and condition often stops any squeeks the leather might produce

Tried to remove the load cover, with no success. Can it be removed from the back of the seats?
