Gutted!!

Post by Zed » Mon Jan 10, 2011 12:58 am

Had the beast just over 8 months now and have enjoyed every minute with my dream car which I bought in mint condition from another member of this forum (thanks to aka_dk). Had no problems and have used it as my daily driver which has put a smile on my face every day. However, a new puppy and 2nd child on the way have forced me into a corner (at least for the time being) and I am going to have to part with her (the car not the wife!).
Just wanted to see what people thought would be a reasonable price to ask.
Does 21K sound about right for a 56 plate Avus silver saloon with 83,000 miles?

£21-22k sounds about right but it does depend - what's your spec/condition?

Like I said - absolutely gutted to be selling. It is an awesome machine - not quite sure where I can go from here in terms of my next car - especially with limited funds, 5 doors and a boot that fits an already large dog!!
No did not renew with Audi as it was pretty pricey but looked into other companies and there seemed to be some decent ones for around £800.
Congrats on the arrival of your 'new baby' - looks stunning and knowing you I am sure she in in nothing but perfect order!!

Unless Zak's driven it into a tree, its in mint condition ... Even the seat bolster was unworn, which when you compare to 40/50k cars is incredible...its got fantastic provenance ... 1 owner for 3 years who did lots of motorway miles, then bought as an Audi Approved car by a forum enthusiast (me) then sold to a top bloke (Zak) ... Its prob still got one more Free Service credit

Zak, I recon a good bet is to put it up here and SRS first to see if anyone is interested, as all the high mileage ones on the market look well dodgy but this is as straight as a ruler and a great car

Sensible folk would love to swap their Avants for a Saloon, everyone knows the saloon is faster:):)

Like others have said, it's a great car to have owned & circumstances have a habit of changing often which do tend to drive our purchase decisions:)
