Mines is back at Audi with a similar problem, currently on its 4th set in less than year! So far i've had new discs, pads, flanges (?!). Last update i got was they had taken a big pile of measurements and sent to them to Audi UK. I'm driving a 2.0TDI atm as a courtesy car. Its terrible in the snow!!!!

I had juddering issues with both 255 and 275 tyres, tyre size is not part of this problem.

I only ask because im trying to work out if the ESP is constantly activating on the front wheels due to it thinking they are spinning because of a rotational difference between the fronts and the back, a long shot I know but maybe a specific tyre triggers it.

Iirc the ESP system would throw an error code/light if it activates in that scenario.

I was fitting a battery to a B6 S4 yesterday when I noticed 'S4' chalked onto its brake servo which made me think it was a used one.
Then I remembered a 3.0 petrol B6 A4 where water had built up in the bulkhead and entered the servo causing the brakes to stick on, overheat and warp. When we had it you could barely move the car after a few miles but I suspect it starts off more subtley with symptoms more like yours so worth checking to see if you are getting water build up in the scuttle area.
