be pretty complicated (read expensive) to integrate one into the tranny

do they NOT do it for a reason?
the the slip/allowable differential speed desirable?
does it prevent bad things: binding, etc.

You guys don't wory about expenses as they are covered by sponsors.

There is one company that I have found that offers front and read LSD for RS7 B7

Great project thread btw, she looks right handful.

BTW why are you going for a B7 RS4 transmission? why not use LSD in your current S2 application?
Money can't buy you love, but it can buy you a well sorted racecar

It is really hard to get a S2 gearbox that did not have 'zylion' kilometers on it ... 300-500 k is a standard now ... the RS4 boxes have around 100 000 or less.

The second benefit is 40/60 torque split.

The third reason is that RS4 B7 gearbox is also made for higher revs (rs4 revs up to 8200) so it has better syncros ect for track racing where my S2 revs to 7800.

You're using synchros on a race car?

Not complicated. Depending on how rich u are , expensive .
They obviously do it for a reason duuuh. Cost !
Don`t really understand that question.
It prevents slipping.

Took a look at the pricelist but doesn`t say which one (rs4, b5 or b7 ) .
Would be nice to get more info.

He may be using synchros for higher gears. (4-5-6) .
I`m interested in dog engagement 1st 2nd and third but price would be prohibitive I guess.
