Anyone had DRC sorted at Camberley FOC ?

Post by HYFR » Wed Dec 29, 2010 6:36 pm

just had the call from my local audi that two front shocks are weeping

As they are SOOO helpful, they've never heard of the 5yr/75k guarantee (in fact, swear blind its not covered)

So, looking to the experts, Camberley, has anyone had a free DRC repair under this warranty ?

My car is 19k, 4years old

Much appreciated

Camberly Audi definitely know about it as I spoke to a chap there about 2 weeks ago regarding the exact same thing. Think it was someone called Rob I spoke to.

Had mine done within the 3 yr warranty and no trouble since. Rob at Camberley was the one to tell me about the 75k extension so you should have no worries :-)

will be giving @Camberley a call tomorrow to book it in
And when I pick up mine, I'll leave them a copy of the letter fro JH, and make sure the owner of M25 Audi knows about their lack of knowledge

manchesgter did mine..showed up on the health check, so they ordered them in and did them anyway..

i asked them about the 5yr/75000 thing and they were suprised i knew about it...

guys leaned in a bit, like he was imparting a secret and told me it was unofficial and goodwill.

Camberley told me my front shock was 'weeping' - but within tolerances - they said they would look at it next service, but did say if we cant get it done under goodwill (I never mentioned the goodwill 5 year warranty) , then we will do it under standard warranty (car is FASH and still under warranty and main dealer bought) - their comments just made me think it wasnt quite straight forward on the 5 year warranty thing...

good luck

Camberley did mine, Watford Audi knew nothing about DRC issues. In fact they also swore blind that acceptable oil usage was 1l per 1000 miles! Useless feckers

M25 Audi ?? Is that Watford or is there more than one M25 Audi ?

They definitely DO know about the DRC warranty as they did mine a couple of weeks ago. (reluctantly, but none-the-less they know).

Speak to Dave, the Master Tech.

Just had mine done, picked up Xmas eve. Rob Chorley in Service dept is very knowledgeable on the RS4 and DRC issues. mine's out of warranty but sorted under the DRC extended warranty from Audi UK. No need to take the letter, Camberley will just sort it.

Got a call back from the very helpful Martin at Camberley, even remembered me from my RS 6 in the summer...he confirmed the 5year/75k warranty and so, subject to their inspection, it will be covered

So all booked it ... Don't even know y I considered using my local dealer

Moral of the story, always go to Camberley
