Well done Steve,Avus is a lovely colour (not that i am biased) and so much better than shitty red or black IMO althhough Sprint blue would have been my first choice.Look forward to seeing it in the flesh soon

Well done Steve: Great spec, great dealing..... and best of all Great Colour !

I may well be around this Saturday... so PM me guys, if you decide to meet up. I think Shagga was up for a meet too.

Oh, and I can show you what a proper Avus should look like without all that Halfords black optics nonsense

Ps. I washed mine last week (certainly aint gonna do it again in this weather).
A quick blat up the dual carriageway today and now it looks half Avus / half crappy BMW grey.

Pps. Don't have facebook, so can't view.. can you post that pic here ?

Well done, Steve. Sounds like the twin of my car apart from the wheels and mileage!

Quick edit to say spoke to the previous owners brother and confirms its a good sound car and makes good power

If anybody is looking at the Red one from Newbury, let me know as there is info you may need to know and will pm you.

All I can say is I am just glad I found a good one and with provenance from speaking to previous owners brother and that I will never ever have to deal with an Audi Salesman again.

It seems its a minefild out there, and Audi approved doesnt really mean a lot, and withWolfgangs woes and my experiences of negotiating with 8 dealerships now, I dont think I can recommend any of them to be honest... Newbury did me a good deal but, would I go back there :?:

I think the experience has let my view of the Audi Dealerships and Brand Tarnished a little.

But getting away from all that, at the end of the day its a cracking car and will love every second of it and not even thought twice about the evo....my only dilema is what will I eventually replace it wit, maybe a GT-R next then, or a 911 variant or maybe ther will be a proper M3 Tourer by then  :rocker:

Well done,as usual with many of these threads people start looking at the bottom end of the pricerange quickly to find out theres usually a reason there at the bottom of the price spread, like you mentioned early in this thread i think you know straight away if its a good one, little bits n bobs can be done no drama but enthusiasts usually want a good clean origonal car eh
