Steve you can get the black optics pack retro-fitted at the dealers mate.
Thanks Billy 8)

..I dread to think how much  ...any ideas please and will factor that into negotiations
My car is in with Rob at Camberley right now (just got off the phone and am getting new DRCs all round and firmware upgrade etc... :D :? ) and he mentioned last night what a pig of a job it is to 'install' the optik pack retrospectively....not a cheap option
Thanks for the info. Can you PM us how much it is costing please, is thats ok?; as Camberley is sort of my neck of the woods, about 45 mins. Be interested if prices varies wildly between dealers.

Cheers

Didn't Camberley say they weren't going to retrofit optics anymore because is was so labour intensive?

Sprint Blue or Daytona or possibly Yellow to be different.Red is the worst colour IMO followed by black

8AU Matt Lacquer. 8)

When fitting the optics for saloon, its about an hour per door and about 45 min for front grill. The rear strip will have to be taken off and sent to a body shop for respraying. If Avant you will have no rear strip but roof rails. Remember that part of the full optics is satin black exhaust tips. I will be looking into purchasing these from milltek if I can get them re-wielded onto my existing back box for the full look.
Money can't buy you love, but it can buy you a well sorted racecar

Can you just buy the optics pack and fit yourself, I am quite handy (watched way to much Blue Peter when younger  ) and have a friend in the trade with a garage so one car must be pretty much the same with regards to trim work, or are there specialist tools etc required to remove bits. Thanks

Rear quoter glass panels have to be changed out as the optics are part of this (forgot mention). rivets need to come out, some need to be drilled out for the oart around the doors

If I could have had it at a sensible cost - Nogaro Blue - but as the cost was silly, Phantom Block.

Hi All,

Just joined this forum as I'm planning my first RS purchase in the new year. For me it has to be Daytona followed by Mugello then Phantom. I'd pair all three with the silver leather and in an ideal world silver buckets (do they even exist?).

Personally I'm not a fan of silvers (especially Avus), Sprint or Ibis. Suzuka is a great colour however I just don't think it suits the RS, most lighter shades don't IMO. Optics pack don't do it for me either.

Just my 2p's worth.
