there's a few of these around...a lot of controversy, one guy is ripping his out...

MTM's, only 1 I'm aware of...

the APR, although too early to say conclusively, looks to be the best set-up...only time will tell...of the ones I've seen (and the data is sparce and contradictory for the most part) it's the one I'd choose if that's the way I wanted to go...

I have a spreadsheet where I compared the sizing of the M90 (PES) and the APT (HTV1320 brand), the APR selection looks much more appropriate...
in fact the PES M90 may be margianl on the S4...people aren't getting the power, and hence speed, they were expecting...

this is interesting: http://www.audizine.com/forum/showthrea ... er)-Thread

Had my MTM S/C for more than 20.000 KM now and with no problems. Had a small issue (one pulley bracket should be removed during installation but was not) and MTM sent a mechanic from Germany to Norway within days. You get what you pay for. I really enjoy the kit.

Indeed you do, just goes to show.

The APR S/C Does sound great though and looks good too, very OEM.

Agree, the APR S/C looks good and sounds great. Maybe I should make a movie clip as well to compare.

for currently available SC's (the APR is not on the market yet) the MTM by far is the state of the art...
imo, the APR may be in the same league...we'll see...

I see that MRC are now a PES outlet, good effort.

What was the final power of the PES S/C? did you make 500ps?

Sounds great btw

This is the first pes kit we have fitted. I am not going to post results until we are finished but it has around 30 hours dyno testing on it so far - We can see why other builds have not made good times so as well as dyno results we will do some timed runs to show the gains you can get if we tune the car.

my 2p's worth on this.

if you wanter a faster car - go buy a faster car......

seen the type of issues on audizine too many times on other forums also. Why would you want to put a supercharger on a car which hasnt been designed for one?

remaps/exhausts and filters are an easy fix, but once you start splicing into wires/connections you open a whole can of worms for yourself and make a perfectly (normally) reliable car into something that spends more time on a flat bed than on the road.

I was reading about the MTM one in Audi Driver from Feb 09 I think, 540 PS!
The chap had it done to a Sprint Blue Saloon, be interesting to know how reliable that's been.

I suspect installation is everything with those PES kits and if anyone can do it right it'll be MRC so dyno data will be interesting.

then theres all the hasstle of trying to sell it when you get fed up of it, or fed up of all the problems - very few people want a car that has been modified beyond an air filter.

OK so a SC is not to your liking that is crystal clear. Others though will be truly interested. Now unless you can make a tangilble contribution to this debate why not leave this thread to those who are interested/curious.
