stafford have a lovely silver one with buckets...late 50s and they've had it for about 5-6 months....

i agree in principal with what your saying, however, if i'm right, then the disparity between like for like saloons/avants will be that great, then unless you absolutely have to have a saloon, then your unlikely to give a 10k premium..which is rough and tough how it will end up if your right

a 2-3k premium maybe, but no more in my opinion.

i dont think the arrival of the limited rs6 plus will help residuals either, as big pockets who must have the latest gunship, will migrate, putting more normal into the market...

i'd leave it 6 months, get what you want, for a lot less money...your rs4 wont be going down as fast and is probably more fun to drive full tilt...

Clearly you are looking at alternatives i.e RS6, GTR.. how about the E60 M5, saloon or Touring if you have a need. Or even an Alpina.

Buy 2 Cars.

A cheap Audi 2.0tdi quattro & a Beemer you like.

BTW Beemers are not slow in the wet with the right tyres - they have rain in Germany, and snow and icy conditions.

or how about a new S4.

Insuring GTR's can be expensive, so do check 1st.

Jonathon is spot on with the residuals. Makes a GTR sound more appealing as there is still a waiting list for new cars.

There are only 5 on Autotrader which are the same ones on PHeads and the Audi configurator and have been there for a while and they don't have good specs on them. There was one on last week in a purple colour with Ceramics, keyless go, park advance and MMI High and its sold in days.

Not that I'm looking you understand.....
RS4 fans jumping ship ?
Two kids growing rapidly and potential need for more rear leg room with few performance alternatives around.

What you're saying is RWD has serious limitations. Changing tyres is way too much faffing for me. Only home for a month at a time before going away for a month. Changing tyres every three trips would just be a pain. Quattro just works whatever :-)
It'd be ok running super skinnies 6000ft up an Alp for three months of the year. You try it when it gets warm one day and you are trying to look cool when a 318i goes past you and you can't put him right cos your tyres will kill you over 60mph :-)

Tested one a couple of weeks back. Impressive it was too. Too clinical tho. Stunning inside and plenty quick. Just no character.

cheap m5 on the official site...57 plate in black with individual platinum leather, black piano trims etc, done 22,000 miles...its 32k from memory, which is very cheap, particularly so if you see the spec...its on at knights in staffordshire i think...

worth a look if anyone fancies one

That's good value.. An M6 at that kind of spec would be mighty tempting.

Gearbox people, gearbox, rules out both for me, and I have driven them, so what is the alternative for space and performance, 335i Toring and a remap?
