Had Vredestein secretsantas fitted on Friday having previously had Goodyear F1 Assymetrics on. I also got around to getting alignment sorted out following replacement of DRC with Bilsteins.
Wow - what a difference, so much more grip, composure and a sense of what the front wheels are doing. I was actually chucking the car around at the weekend which I haven't done since I replaced the DRC, though still feels like it needs an uprated ARB.
Not sure how much is down to the tyres or alignment (which wasn't actually out very much - a few toe adj's) but happy days. I still had a few mm of thread left before the wear blocks on the F1's and no complaints about them at all but Vredesteins so far have been a revelation.

The Hotckis sway bars are very good, however be warned that it will make your ride stiff with the coilerovers, if this don't bother you then good stuff, iv had no dramas with mine, great on the track. In the wet the car will tend to over steer if driven hard into bends (hence why some racers take them off in the wet), but thats just the nature of having stiff suspension/sway bars.

Are Hotchkis ARB's fitted to both rear and front ? I am looking for something that reduces roll/pitch but doesen't sacrifice too much comfort from whats there now - mid setting on Bilsteins. I won't be on track much at all more likely twisty B road blast (on shyte roads) with 90% of the time doing the work commute (on shyte roads) so suggestions for something like that welcome.

The Hotchkis kit is front and rear ARB's. I have standard suspension and it has not compromised ride comfort, just flattened out cornering pitch and roll.JackS4 wrote:Thanks for the replies.

I believe the Vredesteins from what I can remember of the F1's I had previously do not have the ultimate dry grip of the F1's on the limit and they scrabble a little earlier but if the compromise is tyre longevity which so far it looks like it is (F1's did 19k miles, on 16.5k miles now with 5mm tread left on the SecretSanta's) I'm OK with that especially since I don't track the car which is the only place I believe I would need the extra tyre performance. Don't mind the occassional controllable 4 wheel drift on the roads for an extra bit of fun!.
I had a few of these at the weekend and thought it was because the tyres hadn't scrubbed in yet.
