"ECON" button stuck on and recall work....

Post by bye bye » Tue Apr 13, 2010 8:47 am

Hi,

I booked my car in to dealer as my "econ" button is stuck on. When the engine isn't running but ignition on it goes off but as soon as I start the car it comes on??? With warm weather it's become a prominent issue for me.

Before they try to charge me for an aircon "recharge" has anyone else had such an issue. I know my dealer and I'm sure they will claim it is not coverecd by the "Audi All Component Warranty" I've read the paper work and it doesn't exclude aircon but the last time my car was in for DRC leak they said they were doubtful it would be covered by warranty!!

Also, when I booked it in I was told there was a recall job to replace an "oil pipe". I have a December 2006 car.

Cheers

Mark

OIL PIPE - recall is to add a couple of clips, don't think it was pipe replacement, but be good to ask as some do corrode by the sounds of it on here.
