Throttle revs slightly when I brake.... No fault codes tho..

Post by tom2009uk » Mon Mar 15, 2010 8:56 pm

Hi,

Had my RS4 for a couple of months and have just started to notice the car revs on its own for example when I pull up at traffic lights braking,

Its only at very low revs and seems like some sort of idle issue,

I have plugged Vagcom in but have no codes coming up.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Tom

yeah mine did that as when clutch went in it low reved to 500 then spiked to 1500 on its own, prob the computer stopping the engine from stalling.....had the emissions light on n off for 2mths at same time, i had new airintake GruppeM and after resetting system 5 times i just ignored it...the emissions light went away thankfully....after I mchipped the car and remapped after milltek non res its now all normal...Note mine used to stall too at times as i was coming in slow to lights or to park, not pleasant but thankfully all good now.....I did put 2 sets audi spec fuel additive to attempt to clean valves out, paranoia from reading too much of the valve deposit issues here, I truly think the valve issues are overdone, just drive it hard as it should be n it all goes away in my experience, so smash it around a bit n see if that helps!!....
