Wheel colour on sprint blue

This is just a 5 minute rush job playing with brightness and contrast cos I'm starving and away to make some tea.
Squint at the picture from a distance and you can 'make' them go white!

I already tried a few PH ads and photos pinched from dealers but the low res makes it difficult to shift the colour balance properly.
The wheels end up looking too grainy / blocky and lacks natural detail.
