Miltek available...
I've had my car castrated and put the standard exhaust back on for the sake of the wife...yes I'm already regretting it! It used to sound like a racing car now it sounds like any other car on the road!!!
So, two things...I'm probably going to flog the Miltek - it's the non-res, non valve chrome back system - very loud and just an awesome sound.
I may come to my senses and put it back on with a resonated pipe but it's unlikely, especially if I get any decent offers. I will probably put it on Ebay but thought I ought to check with you guys first as getting a Miltek second hand is like finding a turd next to a rocking horse.
Secondly - now I have a silent standard car I was hoping the sport button might actually do something. Audi swear it's been put on right but I can't notice a difference. Definitely nothing going on at idle and even when pushed hard I can't hear a difference or feel anything on the throttle - perhaps I was just spoiled with the Miltek! Also, my M3 throttle response was virtually undriveable with sport on it was so jerky - I just can't feel any difference. Do we think there is a problem or is it just that subtle??
Please PM if interested in the Miltek and respond to this with any thoughts...
Cheers

Try the Milltek Cats and downpipes with your OEM exhaust, you may like it, I certainly do as I went from Milltek back to OEM.

This sounds like an interesting route. I take it the sport button still opens and closes the valves to increase/decrease the sound. Can you describe the noise levels?sonny wrote:Try the Milltek Cats and downpipes with your OEM exhaust, you may like it, I certainly do as I went from Milltek back to OEM.

Yes the valves still work due to the OEM exhaust. (however I think mine has stopped working for some reason as there in open mode). The Cats and downpipes work well with the OEM set, some may say its pointless. I saw a 5bhp increase with these fitted. However I would strongly recommend a CUSTOM remap, I had mine done at MRC.
Noise Levels are "nice" Not as intrusive as the Milltek system, also on full chat they sound throaty. hard to describe.
