Post by Graham » Tue Jan 19, 2010 9:06 pm

my 07 RS4 advant follows ruts in the roads and motorways.

I am about to change my tyres - any suggestions to help resolve this problem.
Currently fitted with p zeros

Thanks

This normally happens with low profile tyres, nothing to worried about (Tram-lining). The Eagle F1's Asymmetric are a good choice.

Has it been like this from day one? My tyres usually start doing it when they are worn down to about 1 mm. and then it goes away when new tyres come on.

I had PZeros on the car when I purchased it (with reasonable tread left) and it tramlined on what appeared to be the smoothest roads, opted to change all 4 tyres and went for the Eagle F1s as Sonny suggests and the improvement has been incredible and the car rarely tramlines at all now.

F1's, Vredestein Ultrac Sessantas and Michelin PS2's appear to be the popular choice between forum members here with RS4's
