Loan Car

Post by rs4_power » Tue Oct 27, 2009 8:09 pm

My rs4 is going in for some warranty work next month and i am going to be collecting my loan car as well. I have not had a loan car from them before for the rs but i have had a new a4 when i took my q7 in and i was just wondering what i am likely to be given for the day? They said it will be something equivalent to my rs4 and if i come at 8am when they open i am likely to get the best car but they did not say exactly what it will be. Just wanted to know what you guys have been given? And it is Sheffield Audi if that makes any difference.

Thanks

wow, i need to go to sheffield audi...all the dealers I've ever used only had crappy rep cars regardless of what you own, and they only available if you book about 256yrs before your due to bring your car in

Suggest you get there early so you get the pick of whatever cars they have. It might be worth having a chat with the Sales guy and hint you might be interested in an RS6 and see what happens...

I tried that one when mine went in for its DRC.
Best they could do was the DP's A4 Avant 3.0 TDi.

Mines just been into Aston Green in Slough. Had a brand new A4 2.0TDi Avant as a loaner. Sure made me appreciate the RS4 when I got it back :-)

I've had

A brand new Q7 (28 miles on the clock)
A B8 A4 3.0 TDI just after they were launched
A S5
A RS6
and a B8 S4

Worthing Audi know how to look after you. I even had a R8 for a couple of hours whilst they replaced an air pressure sensor in one of the wheels. :)

Hmmm I think you'll be lucky.....

Always had reasonable cars from Sheffield.

I had an 09 plate 2.0 Turbo A4 quattro from Sheffield about 3 weeks ago

Previous to that, I have had diesel A4 cabrio, a diesel A6, and a brand new diesel A4 (delivery miles)

From Doncaster, I initially had an S3, and then a 3.2 A6 Avant. Which I had numerous times (amusing as I paired my phone the first time I used the car and it was still paired 6 months later :o

1.6 A3 for 6 days while mine waited on parts for the oil cooler. Well and truly hacked off with it as I had planned to come home via the road pictured in the following thread

http://www.rs246.com/index.php?name=PNp ... torder=asc

changed my plans as the A3 was too gutless to get any enjoyment from.

From Newbury Audi I've had an A4 cab, Q5, A6 Avant, A3 and B8 A4, all with decent specs. Most of those have been for one or two days so I wasn't really bothered anyway, but when they needed to car for a bit longer and I said I needed something spacious I got the Q5. They're pretty good with their courtesy cars in my experience, and don't usually need you to book more than a couple of weeks in advance to get one.
