Finally got it detailed! (Aberdeenshire)

Post by StandFreeRS4 » Mon Oct 12, 2009 7:41 pm

Evening all

After a couple of months of ownership I just had to get the RS4 detailed. After you see the pics you'll see how bad the paint was and this was bought from an Audi dealer. I reckon they did a quick wash and wax before I took delivery of the keys. After moaning to the sales manager about the nick of the paint all he gave me was 100 quid off!

Anyway, enjoy and for all you guys in North Scotland, give Gav a shout as he does a great job. He did my M3 before I sold it and it definitely helped me get the amount I wanted. His company is Detail Ecosse and based in Newmachar - he's got his own unit which is good for keeping the car indoors.

Cheers :)

What a stunning job. You have such a spot on colour for that car.
Its amazing how a dealer would let a car be given to a customer with such bad paintwork.
Anyway, your car looks great, enjoy. Lucky git

Hi, I'm thinking of getting mine done but I've had varying quotes of £250 - £650 for a full detail and correction. Is anyone prepared to say how much they've paid for their car to be done so that we can get a bit of a benchmark?

Also, does anyone have someone they would recommend around Manchester and Cheshire?

Because Audi paint is very hard and takes 2-3 hits to correct it is usually a 2 days job for a full paint correction and detail on an Avant inside and out. I paid £450 for mine but that was mates rates, should really have had another £50-100 on top of that

I had mine done recently by a friend who has a detailing business locally...came out lovely!

And it's great to know the car has a level of decent protection now. A quick wash over once a week and it's as good as new!!
