Im with more than too, swiftcover suck when it comes to changing the policy, and getting cover notes and covering hire cars etc... far more trouble than the saving is worth imho

I'll let you all know how I get on but when my insurance is up end of next month I'm going to try Greenlight again. My car is probably only worth £30K now which is their limit, but they were excellent with my S4 and the policy includes track day cover for £50 a session extra with double excess for the day. Well worth it.

I just found out also that a tracker is required for Swiftcover. Wasn't the last time I used them.

first quote online was from swiftcover for me and the other half, 10k miles per year, no claims protected, parked on drive, other half has 6 points and 2 accidents in last 3 years :( (1 non fault) they wanted £1161.60 with £750 xs  and would only offer cover with a tracker fitted!

then tried morethan as suggested by PG

same details, they quoted me £466.30 with £600 xs :D no mention of a tracker!

Just goes to show how much some companies are making out of us! and this just proves that it pays to shop around!

What about insurance for modified cars? Who do people recommend?

You may find some modifications are covered by your standard policy if they do no affect the acceleration, speed or cosmetic appearance of the car. My Hotchkis sway bars, Goodridge hoses and x-pipe are all covered on my standard MoreThan policy with a bit of explanation to the person I was talking to and them consultaing with the handbook on what is andisn't covered.

Otherwise Adrian Flux were the cheapest by a country mile when I recentyl did they trawl compared to Greenlight, A-Plan, Bell, Noel Dazeley and a few other modification firendly insurers who I cannot remember the name of as I blitzed so many.
