RS4 B7 Headlight Condensation

Near side headlight unit has condensation, I wash the car by hand don't use a jet wash, is this a fault

Potentially yes, I had my fogs changed due to this. Have the lens been de-tango'ed etc? If so this might cause a problem...

SPOKE TO THE DEALER AND BOOKED IT IN, IF THE CONDENSATION IS STILL PRESENT AFTER 20 MINS WITH THE DIPS ON THEN ITS A SEAL AND THE UNIT WILL BE REPLACED UNDER WARRANTY

That's always been the Audi "party line" on the B6 and B7.

They're not hermetically sealed, they have plastic/rubber plugs that are supposed to stop too much moisture getting in and allow any that does get in to evaporate out when it's warm and/or the lights are on. From new some moisture will get in but it's such a small amount it's not noticeable.

But when those plugs harden with age (or one drops out) excess moisture gets in.

Got my headlight unit changed under warranty well pleased took 2.5 hrs as the bumper had to come off, but im happy
