Unless the price has been reviewed from memory it was expensive to have the cleaning, decating and remap done. Well, expensive in my eyes anyway. 7% of list price is a hefty premium IMO but if you have the money spare to do I wish I were in your position.

We charge 10 hours to remove, clean ports and valves and refit the intake manifold or our modified MRC manifold.

Unfortunately the build up does not just wipe off, it is heavily carbonised and baked onto the valves. There is no premium, this is the time it takes.

karl/Lucas,

Those three pictures - I presume they are all different runners?

Any recollection which photos document which runners?

Does the build-up appear worse in any particular runner i.e, the ones nearest the CCV bypass?

Modified in what way? Do you mean having the inlet manifold ported / polished?
