Asking price isn't the sale price - and I have to say that quite a few cars have been on the internet for a while now, so you have to assume that they are not really selling that quickly. A friend of mine advertised his RS4 recently and only had a few calls, and most of them were dreamers - decided to keep it in the end.

I'm not on about sale price, I'm on about Glasses guide, as stated. To be fair, the book is a fair way off what cars are selling. It is struggling to catch up at present. I am trading cars up to £1000 over book, with dealers fighting for them off me.

As you say there are certain cars that have been for sale for a while, but we don't know anything about them, bar what the advert says - they could have been badly looked after, so are not appealing to people.

I have been in the motor trade for 20+ years, and have NEVER seen the used market so buoyant, people just do not want to buy new at the moment. Cars like the RS4, M3 etc, just got too cheap toward the end of last year, and are now finding their original price again, as the market has strengthened.

Hope this helps

My mistake, 8K ..there...

Car is a beauty, not even a stone chip on it. Going through a tough patch with my business and trying to re stucture the finances of it due to bad debt. That may come off very quickly that is why I am reluctant to sell.

I had a guy call me and he asked how much would I accept for him to drive it away, I said that I thought the add said 36500.00, Not prepared to cut price.......
