I'm finding it difficult to decipher which dates are Private and which are Public, my German is about as good as my Swahili. The link below is an indication to the cost although the petrol to/from and circuit petrol might be a little under estimated as I think we can all assume a lot less than 20mpg.

I would also like to think that none of us would be taking up the ‘optional extras’ at the bottom of the page. :boohoo:

Me too I'm afraid - maybe even Sept, giving more planning time (and tuning!) time, and perhaps some quieter roads?

Who knows, the £ might even be worth somethng by then...

LOL There was another user with a very similar user name, so I got it changes to my actual name, I use it on other forums too like SRS, S2Forums etc etc, I retained it in the location on my profile.

Could be up for it depending upon date but I'd probably go via Amsterdam or Rotterdam from Newcastle and save a few hundred miles.

Sort of likewise, go Hull-Rotterdam, it's the bollox  Done it many times & only 3 hours from Rotterdam to The Ring with some very fast roads.

On that route, had my DMS M5 have a near miss with a 996 GT3 Cup Cars Carbon Fibre Front Splitter at a GPS 190MPH. That was like the mother of all Colonics :D

All the dates here are public lapping dates i.e. Touristenfahrten. Typically the 'ring is open all day on most Sundays in the summer, and for a couple of hours on a Saturday. It is quite rare now for it to be open all day Sat and Sun over a weekend.

What you can do is get an early tunnel crossing on Sat morning and get to Nurburg for the evening session (its 4 hours to Nurburg from Calais).

You can the spend most of Sunday lapping and then head home catching one of the late tunnel crossings c.10.30pm back to Folkestone.

If you do it this way, Sunday is hell of a lot of driving, but as it's only a 48hr trip your Tunnel crossing will only cost £49!
