Trackday pads/tyres

What pads are people using on track / ring, are the standard pagids ok?
I had thought about pagid rs29 but at £500 just for fronts seems a bit steep.
Not sure if performance friction do any for rs4?

Also what tyres on track and road michelin ps cups 265/30/19 or toyo 888?

To be honest I have always used only standard road tyres and brakes but then I don't track as often as I used to.
