DIS Question...

I had my DIS changed from imperial to metric from my dealer when I imported my car from USA to Canada.

Just today however, my DIS reverted just the temp from celsius to farenheit (my fuel consumption has stayed at L/100Km and gallon/mile). The only thing I can think of is that I used my other key fob today.

Question is, does the DIS change readout info based on which keyfob is used?

The keyfob is linked to the Climate Control, and that in turn feeds the temp display on the DIS

If the RS4 behaves like earlier Audis (I'm not at home to check) just hold down the air recirculation button and press up on the temperature - this should switch between C & F

I'll give it a go and see if it changes anything.

Another question. Has anyone changed their keyfob battery found that it no longer works and had to get it rekeyed to the car from the dealership? I've been told that this happens randomly (which is rather silly) and want to make sure before I go and swap out my battery.

Sometimes when I've changed the battery (on earlier B6 S4) I've had to re-program the key

Simple to do - just google "audi key reprogram" and follow the audiworld / audiforums links
