Is that because they are already MP3?

Although...

Mine are MP3 and it still offers me that option ?

Weird

try ripping 1 cd you have as an MP3 and see if it offers you a different menu choice ?
Cheers

I think I've finally worked it out, its taking roughly 10-15 secs to convert each song, and I have nearly 3000, so I'm going to leave it overnight.

Once I have done it, I will have two copies on itunes, of each track - How do I split them??

I'd hazard a guess most people use Explorer to drag and drop the folders containing the mp3 files onto their SD card which it sees as an additional drive....

You'll find them in the iTunes library...

That's what I do.

And I also use a program called Playlist Creator 3 to make an M3U playlist which I also copy onto the SD card. This allows me to control the order that sonmgs play in and to control what appears on the DIS (remember the DIS only shows the first 8 characters of the filename or song title or entry in playlist).

Right all done, and I've now copied the MP3 files into their own folder - They are saved as individial songs. When I transfer them onto the Sd cards, will they automatically arrange themselves as albums, or do I do that first, and if so HOW???

Sorry for all the questions, but I just can't find any of the answers I require anywhere - Good old forums

Using the Source & Return keys and selecting folders with the spin wheel on the RNS-E you select which folder (album) you want tracks to play from.

With playlists stored in the root folder it's easier - you select the source and then select the playlist.

Also, if you copy and paste the album folders rather than all the songs individually on to your SD cards it should then list your artists aphabetically and the albums under them with a bit of manipulation through Windows Explorer; on my cards I have 'Music' as the folder on the card, the Artists as sub folders and under each artist the album folders and then the songs on each of those albums in each of those sub-sub folders.

I recommend 'Sound Taxi' it cost is 20 bucks and it works well in creating MP3 files from the IPOD it can even be left to do all files ar a batch and will dump them into whatever device such as SD card hard drive or CD have used it for years for music for my Harley the latest version is the best yet.

Just my 10 cents
