Always use G spot !! Driving at steady 80ish and 65ish makes little difference to mpg , recently had to slow down a bit as I received a roadside talking too and some points!! The computer is rather pessimistic about mpg , mine is reading about 20 percent less than what a calculator tells me.Usually get 350 or so to a tank

Mixed A + Motorway regular attain 24 mpg, with odd the occasion getting 300 from a tank. Computer mpg average generally within 1 mpg of actual

16 mpg on my previous 5 mile commute in town, 25 mpg over the New Year on mainly A roads, 28 mpg the last two summers in France.

28mpg in France; is that to do with the Uk subsidised super smooth roads or you touring to take in the scenery?!

Mine spends far more time cruising on the motorway at 75-80MPH so my average is 23.6MPG over a few thousand miles.

Lowest i've seen was 5MPG at The Ring & highest was 26.8MPG on a 200mile pure motorway at 70MPH journey.

It's certainly not due to me going slower (the speed limit on Autoroutes is higher than on our motorways)

I've been keeping petrol log of my RS4 and on average long distance drive is about 25-26 mpg, city drive 19 mpg and on track it's down to 11 mpg.

Currently averaging 18.1 overall since new. That's over 22k and a lot of B road driving.

I'm always 21-22 mpg on motorways - same as my B6 S4

That's mid 80s in the UK (with moderate to heavy traffic and light loads) and much faster in France (with less traffic, but more wine & bags!)

Always have Sport engaged, and can't understand how others get 26+?

21.7 mix of town + motorway.
70 litres is my petrol filling record! Not bad for a 62 litre tank!

17.9 since new. 20k miles, probably 50% done on M25 at 60mph in traffic when it would show about 25mpg if i was lucky. Unfortunately my trip home was M25 in traffic followed by a massive blast down M23, so the best i saw of 28mpg by Junc7 was quashed to 23 by time i got home ;)
