How do I remove number plates

Post by MrM » Fri Dec 05, 2008 4:08 pm

Can anyone please advise me how to remove the number plates as they do not appear to be held in place by screws. Are they simply stuck in place and it is just a case of pulling them off?
Thanks

Usually double sided tape that is used for number plates. A gentle but forceful pull at one end will usually have it come free. Be careful with the front as it can pull the holder away from the grill slightly.

Get the wifes hairdryer and very gently heat them up until you melt the glue on the tape, and then remove them!

a bit of fishing line behind the plate guarantees no damage.
