Standard car 451bhp. 500-520 is the sort of jump you get with a Turbo engine. TBH I would find it very difficult to believe that kind of jump possible with a remap on a N/A engine. In fact, I think your being told porkies by someone after your cash!!!

Good luck all the same! Nice Spec!

I don't test drive many cars, but had a go in one of these and I really liked it. Head ruled the heart on this occasion however, and if you can stomach the depreciation (whatever that may be), you'll love it I'm sure.

Jealous, Enjoy!
RS4 B5. Where it all started.
RS6+ Never to be replaced.
Replaced by: 997 Turbo. Didn't like.
Replaced by RS6. I like(d).
Land Rover Defender. Not as nippy.
Back with C6 RS6
And again C7 RS6

580hp still doesn't crack the 100hp/litre mark so I can quite believe the figures.

If it was engineered to GT3 standards (115hp/litre), I'd expect someone to squeeze over 700hp out of the bitch.

Holy cow.

I lose track of all the AMG models, but isn't it the same block used in the SL63 which spits out 520hp, hence the figures?

The interior looks terrible, reminds me of my mates Astra. Cannot beleive how plasticky it looks.
Listened to couple of youtube clips and the engine sounds incredible.

DJCEVO

How are you getting on with the C63 amg then?

The warranty on my RS4 runs out next July and i am seriously thinking of a C63 and wondered if you could let us know how different an experience it is to drive to the Audi...Good points and bad..if any!!

Cheers

I'd still have the RS. Looks better inside and out. Seats look horrid to me.....buckets everytime!

I guess the powerplant might be a different story!

The C63 Estate doesn't look right to me. Infact no Merc estate looks right. Audi makes the best estates...period!

Been on hols for last 3 weeks so still not collected car, should get a chance to collect later this week so will give you all the low-down ASAP. Seat back may not look quite as good as the RS but the seats themselves are much more comfy, equally as supportive and they don't have the metal leg bolster that all my passengers used to hurt their thigh on!!

djcevo wrote:Ok.... well after 30 months of really enjoyable (apart from DRC) RS4 ownership I have jumped ship and gone for a C63 AMG, it was actually meant to be delivered today but apparently its still on the transporter up north!!!

That aside I am really looking forward to it, also after speaking with a couple of tuners 500-520bhp is what they are getting out of them with a remap ...wahoo...

Its in Tenorite dark grey, 19", black leather, AMG sports pack which consists of composite brakes, LSD and a couple of other bits. And the sound of them is awsome!!

Wish me luck and some safe (ish) sideways action lol

I will post some pics when it eventually arrives.
Good luck mate, I drove one and loved it.

It doesnt look like the price tag inside,i think if you got in that blindfolded you could be mistaken into thinking your in something like a mondeo st220,might be nit picking but how cheap do the mats look? Thats £4.99 a square metre cr%p! Not what you come to expect at the top end of a quality marque.Maybe im just too young for the mercs to do anything for me!

Yeah, think you are mate. There is sooooo much more than what the stereo controls look like when you have a well built 6.2 ltr V8 that goes like F**k, looks good, but has a couple of buttons that look like another car that is cheaper. You get what you pay for now days!! You cant have everything !!! People want now days Ferrari performance, Mercedes (80's) build quality, Japanese reliabilty all for Seat prices....... Get a grip, it aint happening!! So if a C63 has a slighty cheaper centre console I can get over it!! Just mt 2pc worth.

I think C63's are fabulous. And as for the interior, personal taste says the Audi is still ergonomically better but comparing it to Ford etc, is that not a sign that Ford in particular have really upped their game on the interiors front? No shame in driving a Mondeo or an Insignia nowadays.
