as SR71 said, it's a long way to have your car detailed!!!
Hussains, I wonder if anyone else with these GY F1 AS had similar experience like we do when push hard. My Front shocks were leaking badly at the time as well so that might also affected the handling.

I think I have experienced a simialr feeling with my F1's which is why my car is in the garage haveing a shock / DRC check this morning. I have managed to do an airfuield run on them deep into 3 figure speeeds and didn't have the effect you are decribing previously.

No problem, apologies all for my apalling spelling before, should have had some caffeine before writing that!

As said in another post, suspension faults perhaps may account for my woes in grip. Will find out when I get the car back what it is like after the replacement work is done.

No problem, it would appear cold weather brings out the fluid from the shocks, was being told that my local dealer has a stock pile of shocks in their worshop for C5 RS6's because of it DRC issues because the colder weather has set in and it always happens this time of year.

Hi Ozr, it seems strang that you and I have only picked up on the strangeness of the extra grip at a high speed, as I did raise my concerns with users of the wider tyres....my conclusion was that either they were not pushing the car to its limits, or something was wrong with my tyres....But I have been experiencing the same problem as u, with the skipping and vibrating at a tight bend, hence have decided to go back to the Pzeros 255's.
Are other users experiencing these same skipping/vibrating feelings from the F1s?
I'm was planning on fitting a set of these at the end of the week... now I'm not sure if I should avoid them?

There were only three people who have commented on this including myself and two of us have shock / DRC issues. Will let you know when I get the car back tonight what is it like once the suspension issues are sorted.

Gecko, if it helps I started this topics because like you I needed more info. Having done a bit of homework I have just booked my car in for a new set of F1's. If you look into these tyres else where on the internet, everyone raves about them. Yes, one or two comments make you wonder, but that it true of all tyres particularly if there is a DRC problem. Go for it mate - can't wait to have mine fitted next week.

Just to let you know, my DRC problem was resolved early part of last year. I noticed the difference post 65mph..... this is immediate from the 255 tyre change. I would like to hear your views once you have replaced your shoes to the F1 tyres....
I have noticed free play in steering at highway, so it may be a good start to the test.

Sorry, can't provide any more insight as I haven't got my car back as yet. By 6pm last night the DRC valves hadn't been installed, the system charged or my new brakes bled or the whole thing test driven.
Hopefully should get the car back today and will report fnidings tomorrow / Friday.

Hi all,
Just had four GY F1 Asymmetric 275/30 zr19 fitted by Kwik Fit in Congleton Cheshire, price ended up being £755 as hiccup with original quote. Great service and not a mark on the alloys, would recommend to anyone.

Suffice to say that after having the chance to drive my car now it has the modified front shocks and DRC rear valves the car handles superbly. Was a little less grippy when the tyres were cold given the temperatures out there today, but once the car was up to peed it stuck like a limpet to the road and no scrabble on the increased 275's
