New carbon fibre parts for rs4 b7

Post by mick8 » Mon Oct 27, 2008 7:34 pm

Hi,

I am just in the process of ordering some carbon parts for my RS4 B7 from a friend of mine whose company does a lot with all types of composites, he has the Front Oil Splitter, the Washer Bottle/Engine Cover, the Recaro Seat Slots and the rear diffuser to look at. The first one or two parts should be back with me by this time next weekso as soon as I have picturesI will get them up for people to have a look at. At the moment he doesn't know whether the bits will be wet lay carbon faced OEM panels or a brand new, 100% Carbon Fibre, it will depend on the mould completxity and interest for proper carbon parts, I have seen the quality of the work they produce and it is second to none hence the reason for me ordering them straight away. As yet I only have a rough idea of pricing but again as the week goes on I will have more info, the guide prices he has given me are very interesting. I will keep everybody informed, I know the lad is up for doing some special deals if we can get a group buy together or if you are interested in buying several pieces at once.

The next thing he will be doing is a full set of carbon seat backs for the Recaro buckets.................watch this space.

hmm, I may be interested I'm some seat slots assuming we are talking about the two 'belt' holes on the buckets? I would also like to see the seat backs though think that might be a step to far. Keep me informed please:)

want to see pics of rear diffuser! Also, is the rear diffuser one piece with your bumper, or can it be removed separately?

The diffuser is removable separately, but oddly on EKTA i can't see a separate part number for it from the bumper.

I know that the "mesh" comes out, but the rear diffuser is one piece with my bumper..... figured it was a damn North American thing....

Ah, that would explain it. I would go look under my car, but it's back at Audi having a DRC shock replaced...
