Brakes

Post by TEE » Wed Sep 17, 2008 10:44 am

My car now has about 12,000 km and the front breaks have started to squeek. Can it be the pads already need changing?

What pads are people using these days?

If they are squeeking sounds like you re not abusing them enough. That happens to me was continously light braking / commuting short distances. Go and take it for a proper drive and work the brakes well.

Agree with P_G. Get upto bad speeds and do repetative stops. they should help. Failing that get a serious jetwash in behind the the wheels and brakes and dry off quickly with a high speed, high surface temp stop.
