Milltek Insurance Increase

Post by softail » Thu May 01, 2008 2:38 pm

Just fitted my non-res, valved Milltek and I thought I had better tell my insurance company (Direct Line), just to keep the details up to date. They've just advised me that my premium has been increased by £113 (incl admin). I'm just getting over the cost of the exhaust, without being kicked in the goolies by Direct Line. I tried to get some feedback through their customer services about why my premium had increased by 25%, only to be told that they were covering the exhaust being stolen (I said that if they could get it off they could have it) and any power increase means an additional premium. As a gesture of goodwill they have knocked off £20 leaving £93 to pay. Anyone else had this type of shafting?

Thats bo''ocks. I have replaced my exhaust (Milltek) 3 times on previous cars and I have never had to pay extra.
