new model rs4 diesel coming?

anybody have any contacts in Audi planning, who could confirm a wee story i heard that Audi was planning to build an A4 4.2tdi avant to full RS4 spec body,suspension etc?
Audi UK says their not sure !!

My remapped 4.2TDI sport would eat 535D mapped cars, it had 380BHP 785NM.

if enough people bombard Audi UK with statements like this we may finally get a performance car we all could BOTH enjoy and afford to keep/run !

At just shy of 2 tonnes it's a bit of a heavy lump! I'd want something as agile as the B7 RS4 with the V10 tdi engine from the le mans car under the bonnet!

I don't doubt that the 4.2 TDi would be mental but Audi will not do it. They will not pollute their sports car channel with Diesel. If they do, it will set a precident that other marques may follow.

Can you imagine BMW creating a real M diesel? Or Ferrari having a 430 F1 D. It just won't happen, there needs to be a major shift in perception before they'll do that.

I'm not saying it is not a bad idea at all and I would have one too but.............

Didn't Audi win LeMans running diesel??? I can't think of anything much more sports car than that!
