RS4 0-60 Times

Post by t_urbo » Fri Oct 05, 2007 3:42 pm

Did some runs today using the VAG-Com Controller, not sure how accurate it is at speed measurement but its worth a look.

Im sure had it been cooler, running 100 Ron, never had Arnold sized passenger and some more driver abuse the figures would be better.

Car has JD Engineering remap.

Running on 97 Ron, 2/3 tank of fuel with passenger.
Total driver and passenger weight 180 Kg.
Air temp 23 C.

So as the Ruskie would say, it's quite slow then? 8)

The 4.2/4.3 times surprised me though.

It was to see real world 0-60 times without abusing the car. I think that they are quite impressive

Had no intentions of doing Acceleration runs, initially i went to Log Timing Retardation under load which had some surprising results. Then thought i would do a few runs just to see what sorts of times the RS4 could do.

Doing some runs tomorrow without passenger.

Please specify how you launch the car exactly (revs, clutch dump or slip etc.).

Not very well!

Anything over 6 k just causes the clutch to slip, one time i tried to dump the clutch at about 6k and the car didn't move, the revs went around to what looked like the time clock

Anything under 3.5k causes it to bog, the higher times are when this happened.

It seems dumping the clutch at about 4.5k is the best and i think the best time i got was when i had a bit of wheel spin which helped keep the revs up.

The lower times surprised me actually.

The average time is irrelevant really as it changes depending on how many runs you do.

Im sure when i do some runs tomorrow without a passenger and a lower temp i will get some better figures.

Will do some 0-100 runs too.
