My wife loves cars. Didn't used to so much until she met me. Now she's getting an R8! (which I am a bit jealous about I must admit).

Yes, we're kind of alternating who has the "practical" car at the moment. I had a noble and she had a mini. Now that I bought an RS4, she has to buy something hugely impractical....hence the R8. We have truly become audi's bitches... it is almost embarrassing :kissmyrings:

Mind you, mine is a two door

That makes TWO 58 year old GITS then, but I don't feel 58, or 58year old women for that matter. :bigblink:

Wow! Nice to hear the females are well represented here, pleasently surprised.

I was talking to a colleague about buying the VAGCOM software and what it did. It got a little techincal and I asked him if I was becoming a geek. He thought it was worthwhile but that I should never tell a woman what I was telling him!!!

Anyway Im 32 and agree with most of the posters views. The Audi is more exclusive, subtle and reassuringly expensive!

And anyway 90% of M3 owners never hang the rear out so that neutralises their "its a proper drivers car" arguement.

BTW does anyone here drive with the TC switched off?

I'm with you on this one. I think the old Volvo estate image is long gone, and small estates nowadays are more a young lifestyle choice, and less the old antique dealer...

I wasn't, till last night - driving behind a stunning grey 599 Fiorano, I worked out that I've so far spent the same cash on school fees, and that's only half way...
