BLUETOOTH Connection disconnects & connects

Post by mariocee » Mon Aug 27, 2007 9:38 am

Hi guys, my bluetooth connection keeps disconnecting and re-connecting itself from my ericsson k800i. it includes an annoying sound too. When I went to test drive the car, the guy who had it told me that it does the smae thing with his Nokia. Both phones are pretty new models and updated.

Any clues?

Thanks

mine kept doing it, but now its settled down.

I know that its not a technical explination, but it was dropping it every 30 seconds or so and now for no reason its perfect?

My bluetooth is through a flimsy Nokia gadget on the dash and I can only get it to connect one in every 10 goes. Even when it connects it looses it after a bit. Makes the same annoying noise when trying to connect and disconnect - also mutes the radio/cd player etc when this is happening for about 2 seconds.

I'm connecting with an N95 & lose BT connection every now & again, but it's defo not a regular thing. Also that nasty reverb noise sometimes when dialling i was told by Craig is a feature of the N95 & nothing can be done to cure this, along with the lack of phonebook sync.

My SE K610i does this if I have one of two things:

1) a phone number with type "Other" - these have to be deleted or changed to another type.

2) too many (I don't know the limit) entries in the dialled/missed/received calls list - try emptying the call list.

Nokia's bluetooth implementation is just pants - I don't know why people buy Nokia phones any more (I used to work for them for 8 years, so I'm not anti-Nokia - but there products have gone downhill badly).

I get the disconnect / reconnect often at the same location(s). I think it happens when the phone passes into a dead spot between two cells and loses signal though why this should disconnect the bluetooth I do not khow.

mine also does this if i have my phone in the drivers door pocket or even in the tray infront of the gear lever. however if i leave my mobile on the passenger seat it never disconnects.

I had this problem with my SE but I just delet the call list and the text messages every now and then and it's sorted.

My N95 is doesn't drop the conection but has the other problems so it's back in it's box waiting for someone to buy it.

I've noticed in the last few days that I can't use the memory from my phone through the bluetooth on to the screen. This means to now contact someone I have to dial their number instead of being able to use stored numbers. It worked okay before, ever since I have had the car which is now ten months. Any ideas? The rest of the functions seem fine.

I had this problem in my M3, it was incredibly down to the amount of texts in the phone, if it was more than 100 then it kept doing this, when they were deleted it was fine....

Jezzer, sorry, I was referring to the disconnection issue... not sure your issue is the same...
