Post by whiteRS4 » Wed Jul 18, 2007 2:16 am

My <beep> dealer, ordered the wrong steering wheel for my car, Can I buy a current TT multi function steeringwheel for the RS4, would it fit , I believe it is the same as the R8.

Aint the same as the R8. Looks the same, but the R8 wheel does not IIRC have the S Button & it has rollers instead of buttons, more akin with the A8 functions, although it is flat bottomed & the styling is the same.

Is this yet another case of a dealer not explaining properly that one of the phone options deletes the RS4 wheel?

Not seen any postings anywhere yet to confirm whether the S3, TT or R8 wheels fit the RS4 AND have fully working airbags too!

It looks like the R8 steering whell has the same type of controls as the multi function one you can have fitted as an option to the RS4. The only difference I can see is that its flat-bottomed.

I'd agree with the quote "My <beep> dealer ordered the wrong steering wheel for my car"
Happened to me too.. even though i had it on writing so i was able to get a car swop, still had to go through all sorts of trouble to fix it. I wish someone could sue their asses for being so slack.
