avant, 9,000 miles since sept 06. most days does a 15 mile country lane into town commute with a number of 150 mile motorway journeys. no track days yet. my commute average is generally over 20mpg (my Rs6 was 16-17 over the same route) and on long trips I get 23-24. The No.2 trip, which I have never reset since new, reads 20.6 mpg. Rs6 was 17.5. Worst in Rs6 was 6 mpg, nurburgring, and worst in Rs4, hard road blast, is 13 mpg. Long trips the best in rs6 was 23 and the best in the Rs4 was 25.7 mpg.

I can confirm that a full tank of petrol lasts 5 laps of the nurburgring...

Do your own maths on that!?

My average of nearly 14,000 miles is 19.2 according to the DIS. And that is from a mix of driving, motorway, B roads and city.
Cheers,
Daz :D

Mine never goes into the 20s, normally shows 19.7mpg. Will the Avant use more or less than the saloon, which car is more aerodynamic and I assume the Avant is alot more heavier therefore will use more fuel???

Saloon should be best, lighter (70Kg less weight) and more airodynamic.
Boot is large on the Saloon.
