Oh, OK....you do not know the actual car then? Dealer told me this pm it definitely has the proper seats - would not consider it if it didn't. Not sure the Audi used car descriptions are entirely up to speed. Thx.

If I ask for the dealer to include pukka RS4 mats in order to sweeten the deal, how much are these retail?

RS4 is so well specced that the tech pack is the only real option you need for resale, that said without it I would not fancy your chances at all.

That is a good price on that low a mileage so snap it up for £500 less and retrofit RNS-E (and CD changer if missing) at not much extra cost. Adaptive lights may be missing but that is the minor part of the tech pack IMHO.

From that I conclude that a price of say £42,750 is not a bad one, particularly if during my ownership I have no worry about satnav.

What about a tracker? I think you need to consider if you have to add one, that adds £500

My current insurer is not bothered about Tracker either for my Lotus or the RS4.

Simon,

Even though there is a slight uncertainty about the seats, it seems to have sports suspension+, which is a bonus. One of the rarer options and definitely gives the car a meaner stance. I haven't driven an SS+ car though so I wouldn't know about the comfort vs standard ride height.
Current: C7 RS6 - Black, VW Passat CC R36 - Black, Freelander 2 - Black
Sold: 911 C4S (991) - Black, Panamera Turbo ('11) - Carrera White, Nissan GT-R - DMG, B8 S4 - Phantom Black, B7 RS4 - Daytona grey saloon, Noble M400, Golf R32, Evo VIII MR, M3, Cooper S, Civic Type-R, BMW 120D (black), Mazda 6 MPS

Alex,

Now don't get too keen and make an offer which competes with mine!

:D ...hehe. Don't worry. I still haven't got the Noble completely out of my system. Will be taking it to its 18k service and selling it after that, so looking at a month or 2. I really need a more practical, fast car though. The RS4, although not as raw an experience, just ticks all the boxes. Your exige S must have been quite a weapon. In an ideal world, one would have both.

Ah, to have both! The Exige S is (I still have it) truly splendiferous, but I am severely limited in the times when I can use it. At least with the RS4 I can take it on the family holiday to Italy in the summer; it feels better vfm as an overall package. Similar to your own thoughts I suspect.

There's some offers to be had on RS4's... at my local dealers today when I was picking my car up from service they were marketing either an S6 or RS4... They've hardly sold any S6's, the S6 is up for "at least £10k off a car a few months old" or alternatively an RS4 "at least £10k off list for a car 9 or 10 months old".

Seems the RS4 has had a marked impact on S4 and RS6 residuals also, a bit of a domino effect it seems.
Present:...
Lotus Evora GT410 Sport, Caterham 420R, CCM Spitfire, VW T2 Bay Window 1976

Past:
DB11 AMR, 992, 991.2, Yamaha MT01, 640d Gran Coupe, 635d Coupe, RS6 C5, Audi TT 225 Coupe, Astra with wind up windows, Citroen ZX, Rover 213, yes behold, a Rover 213... Renault 5

I went to a dealers Saturday who said he wouldn't knock a penny off a new RS4.

All depends.

£355, expensive but they look great - I got my dealer to throw them in as a clincher especially as it does not cost them £355 to source!

I took a look at that website and let's just say I thought they looked good value but it looked like you get what you pay for. To be fair this was based on website images only.
