There are several good mags here in America that have tested from a fleet of more than 50 press-pool cars.Nickm wrote:Craig,
Just for interest... what's the power output and performance 0-62mph of the RS4 in the USA?
Numbers for 0-60mph (we don't measure in km/h or to 62mph) range from 4.3-4.9 seconds.
Having owned an E46 M3, a pair of Diablos, an MB SL600 (v12 twin turbo) and an 03 996TT (which was radar-verified doing 0-60 in 3.8 seconds repeatedly), my best estimation is that it is about 4.6 seconds with a good shift.
The hp ratings are: 414hp-420hp (depending on what magazine you read) and 317 lbs. ft.
Interestingly, the speed limiter theory doesn't seem to be realistic...I drove a loaner-RS4 on the Bullrun rally and had many stints where the speedo showed 172mph. Even with the US-allowed 4.8% margin of error, that's still over Audi's 155mph alleged speed limiter.

Oilman, Which exhaust did you end up purchasing and are you suitably pleased with it. Im considering a Milltekfor the fit and the OEM tail design.
Have you noticed any additional power from the new exhaust, Im led to beleive theres no more horses from a Milltek.

Everyone is unique, just like you and me.
a friend of mine has millteks (valved and non-resonated) and it sounds fantastic.
heres a nice vid on youtube which gives some demonstration to the difference between stock and milltek:
