Wheelarch liners

Post by dociain » Mon Aug 21, 2006 2:55 pm

Sorry I know this sounds a bit trivial but has anyone else noticed the rear wheelarch liners don't seem to fit the rim of the wing
On mine the rear offside wheelarch liner seems to be separating from the wing rim and seems to have been an attempt to glue it with some sticky glue thet looks a bit like snot! Found it dangling when I washed the car at the weekend
Worried now with all the rain we're getting that water will seep behind the liner and hay presto in 12 months rotten wings
Almost looks as if they may have used standard A4 liners which won't fit RS4 bulging wheelarches
Anyone else any similar problems??
Will try and speak to dealer re a solution

Mine fits perfectly, but then it is an Avant.

Update:
Dealer tells me both liners are warped and need replacing so are on order.
An isolated incident, bad batch??
Advise keep a look out for any problems on your RS4s
