Hello - Advice needed!
Hi All,
This is my first post and need some help. I just sold my 997 Carrera S as I am replacing her with an RS4 Avant. I have placed the order for a Phantom Black one, but I keep wondering if Daytona Grey is the wiser choice.
Does anyone have any pictures of either (not Audi's press photos - they seem a little too photoshopped)?
I've also added the RS Suede steering wheel - any shots of this and can anyone recommend it or do you think it's something which might look horrible in a few years?
Can't wait to join the club - Unfortunately, I'm having to wait until January, but look forward to her arriving.
Thanks

Hi Aerovant, and welcome to the forum! I believe Simple1's new Avant may help you decide:

Daytona also looks awesome, though not seen an avant in it yet......
HTH,
Tim

Thanks Tim. This is so hard! I've currently got an A3 Sportback 3.2 in Phantom and I love it, but I really want the wheel arches to be really visible, hence the daytona grey so the 'pearl effect' is maximised.
Simple1 - if you're reading - how does it look on the road? Any further pics yet?
Thanks again..

If you go to audi's website searhc used rs4 and you will see the colours you requested, I've seen quite a few Blacks which look great but Daytona looks awesome.

Hi All,
In the end I've gone for Daytona Grey. It was a bloody difficult decision as I love the black (thanks Simon for the photos), but I've just had a few too many black cars in my time and I thought something lighter might be nice.
The wheel arches just look fantastic in the grey and it's these that I love most about the car (besides the engine of course). I've probably over-specced, but I needed something to travel down to Cornwall in quite often and needed a bit of luxury on the way.
Daytona Grey
Valcona RS Buckets
Carbon Fibre
Black headlining
Solar Sunroof
Tech pack
Double Glazing
Privacy Glass (rear only)
iPod connection
I dropped the suede wheel (thanks for your advice Jon), and the GSM kit
Rear blinds
TV
I think that's it. I keep thinking I'm missing something...
Anyway, once again, thanks everyone. I'll post pictures when she arrives. In the meantime, I'm picking up an SL 500 on Thursday with an AMG kit to satisfy other desires.. I don't think I could have a better garage - convertible/coupe, DTM racing car/Avant.
