Sport.......how?

Post by teambwr47 » Mon Jul 24, 2006 8:00 pm

Well i got a test in a cab the other week which was a bit disappointing to be honest but hopefully a Saloon or Avant drive will put that to bed.

One thing that i wanted to find out was how 'Sport' setting is activated. On the cab i drove the steering wheel button seemed to have absolutely no effect whatsoever and nothing changed display wise however many times i pressed the button and the seat certainly did not alter at all.

I was keen to drive the car with its most aggresive engine mapping in place but when i said to the sales guy about the sport function he knew nothing at all about it. This is something i've encountered before with salesmen not knowing about what they are selling and its pis*es me off intensely.

Can you guys with the cars let me know how to activate 'sport' please so next drive i get the full volume so to speak

What seats were in the cab? The buckets or standard Recaros?
The S button will light up an S logo on the dash, adjusts the throttle map and noticable changes the exhaust noise. If it had the bucket seats then they tighten up too.
Cheers,

Press the Sport button, icon lights on dash, the rest Daz has confirmed.. there is a setting in the setup menu which allows the seats to switched off, but the exhaust and throttle map cant be missed....

Strange because nothing lit up on the dash and the mapping certainly did not alter.

I wonder can it be de-activated by Audi?

This was a car due to do lots of test runs on an Audi Quattro experience day.
