RS4 Cab

Post by jeffw » Mon Jul 17, 2006 2:06 pm

Drove the RS4 cab on Saturday. Very nice inside and out...little bit of skuttle shake, notice the rear view mirror vibrates when on uneven roads. Not a lot of room in the back (you'd need small legs) but it sounds great with the roof down. Only slightly faster than the V10 S6 which I also drove. Overall very nice but I'd have the Avant if I was in the market.

I drove one on saturday to and there was more than just a little bit of scuttle shake down a reasonable A road. While theres no doubt it looks good and with roof down you get the full noise treatment i fail to see why anyone would buy a cab as a drivers car compared to a saloon or avant.

Its not just the rear view mirror that shakes you can see the whole of the front screen assembly move.

I would agree although I have a cab it is not the car you buy as a drivers car, I can say for the S4 there seems to be no shake issues on reasonable roads.

I've not had any major shake issues either. On crap roads you'll get some but you accept that when you buy a cab.
